Last week, the general terms and conditions of the contract were changed in such a way that, in addition, the service provider can continuously monitor every moment of the users contracted with it. For now, we don't know more about this "service", so we don't know how customers are tracked, whether the data is recorded retrospectively or not, and it's not entirely clear whether this data can be somehow linked to the user's identity.

Verizon says the purpose of this process is to allow them to conduct more targeted marketing, giving users more accurate ads, and possibly other location information. Verizon is the largest carrier in the United States anyway, and often users don't have the option to switch to another carrier, so the company could even abuse its position.
