The OLED era is approaching

Mitsubishi unveiled a large but low-resolution display.

OLED is the technology of the future in the field of displays, no doubt. The low displays are characterized by low power consumption, high contrast ratio, beautiful colors, and last but not least, thin panels. Currently, it is the size and price of the panels that prevents mass proliferation, and it is likely that manufacturers will want to squeeze all the dollars out of current technologies.

What is significant, however, is that Mitsubishi has introduced a display with a 149-inch screen. The interesting thing about the display is that it has a resolution of only 1088 x 640 pixels and a pixel size of 3 millimeters. From this it becomes clear that the structure is not for the living rooms, but rather for the streets and stadiums. Its brightness of 1500 cd / m2 also makes it suitable for this purpose, which is much brighter than currently available LCD displays, so Mitsubishi's product can stand its ground in places where the sun is shining, for example.

The OLED era is approaching

We can't provide data on the price of the display, but it's suspected not cheap entertainment. Its presentation can also be seen as a demonstration of technology, although it will surely be a buyer whose pocket is deep enough to pay, it is not true in our country.
