MSI has announced two motherboards with AM3 sockets
Based on the AMD 790FX / SB 750 inserts.
After Asus and Gigabyte, MSI has also announced the AM790 compatible motherboards named 70FX-GD790 and 65GX-G3, which will be powered by AMD 790FX / SB750 chips.
The 790FX-GD70 supports ATI CrossFire technology, which can significantly increase 3D graphics performance, making it an ideal choice for users building serious gaming machines. To do this, the page contains 4 PCI-E 2.0 x16 adapters, which allow you to connect 4 video cards at the same time. The motherboard also supports DDR3 memory, 4 of the rails are also available, which can pack up to 16 GB of 1333 MHz RAM. Using 5-phase DrMOS and APS (Active Phase Switching) can benefit both economical operation and tuning. The 790FX-GD70 provides its owner with 8 SATA, 1 eSATA and one IEEE 1394 connector.
The 790GX-G65 also supports ATI CrossFireX technology, but also Hybrid CrossFireX. The image of the integrated graphics controller can be sent to our display via DVI, HDMI or D-Sub output, and 5 SATA, 1 eSATA and 1 IEEE 1394 ports have been added to the PCB.
