External Blu-ray drive from IO Data

The newcomer is best recommended for owners of portable machines.

To help spread the BR format, IO Data also brought out its own Blu-ray drive - but a little differently. The difference can only be found in the dimensions, as the novelty with the HLDS CT10N interior was relatively small (expressed in millimeters: 138 × 143 × 21). Named BDVRP-UH4, the unit communicates with our PC via USB 2.0, has 4 MB of buffer and weighs only 800 grams on the scales.

The new drive can read Blu-ray Discs (BD-R, BD-RE, BD-ROM) at 4,8x speed, while DVDs up to 8x and CDs 16x. The drive, which is best recommended for laptops, will hit stores around April, and we’ll have to leave about $ 300 left for it.
