Special technology in the OCZ CPU cooler

The processor cooler named Hydrojet is just an exhibition piece for the time being, we have no information about possible distribution.

The invention of OCZ is the world's first processor cooler to use carbon nanotube technology, a much more efficient way of dissipating heat than copper. The manufacturer claims that the Hydrojet is five times more efficient than today’s copper-based refrigeration units. The surface in contact with the processor is composed entirely of carbon nanotubes. These tubes are formed from carbon sheets by a special process, the cylinders thus obtained having a diameter of only one nanometer.

On the theoretical level, carbon nanotube technology with much better cooling characteristics is still in an experimental stage, but in any case we are looking forward to further developments, a comparison with the traditional copper solution, and last but not least the price of the Hydrojet.
