After the hugely successful Xbox 360, Microsoft not only wants to sit on its laurels, but is already working on the next generation. Before it was about Durango on our site, but back then only his name was certain. Now we also know that the novelty will be presented next year.

The exact look is not yet known, but it is already certain that one of the high-profile events of 2013 will be when the high-profile will get acquainted with Microsoft's new console. In addition to these very interesting plus information, Microsoft engineers can omit optical drives entirely from the next-generation console. Of course, this also contradicts previous Blu-ray support, but so far neither option is certain.

Considering how well the acquisition of digital materials works and is constantly evolving in the case of Xbox Live, it is also a logical step, as it makes it much more convenient for the user to acquire new content. This could even be the next milestone in the development of consoles. At the same time, the counter-argument may come immediately that the physical medium will not disappear, it will only take a different form. NAND flash-based media can play an even more serious role here, as technology has become cheaper and cheaper over the years.
