Are GDDR4 graphics cards coming ?!

No spelling, indeed the little-traced GDDR4 appeared on the horizon.

A new version of the GeForce GT 1030 has emerged from several manufacturers (MSI, Palit, GIGABYTE), which wouldn’t be a big bang in this way alone, except for newcomers using GDDR4 graphics memories! The use of memory chips, which can already be called obsolete with a calm heart, was presumably due to market problems (shortage, price increase) related to GDDR5. In any case, this will be of little consolation, as the 2 MHz clock and 100-bit memory bus will produce an astounding memory bandwidth of just 64 GB / s - which will obviously have a serious impact on performance. The tiny advantage of the “novelty” is that the consumption of the cards has thus been reduced from 16 watts to 30 watts.

For the time being, the pricing of products is obscured by a benevolent ambiguity, but it is inhumanely difficult to imagine a price tag that can be a good buy.
