Newer PlayStation 3 models are expected

From the list above, it is clear that the PlayStation 3 is not one of the trouble-free consoles, just as the Xbox 360 was not, tendency to overheat, and the so-called "Red Ring of Death."

Returning to Sony's console: cutting production costs, almost not won format war - Blu-ray versus HD DVD - and the withdrawal of old models and the introduction of new ones could result in the PS3 catching up. First, the 20 GB version - Europe did not even get out of it -, then the 60 GB, and now the 80 GB model Sony has stopped production, which has not yet been officially confirmed, so that only 40 GB version is the one from which a new shipment is constantly arriving. Once stocks are depleted, series production of PS3s with more storage space will certainly begin, with online rumors suggesting hard drive capacity of 120 and 160 GB, respectively.

In addition, the DualShock 3 controller will also be part of the basic package, all in such a way that despite the increased HDD capacity and the new game controller, the price of the console will not change. No official confirmation has yet been received from Sony, so we do not have information on the price or the possible date of launch.
