Another iPod shuffle clone, this time with a display

We have already seen quite a few examples of how different oriental manufacturers can creatively steal another product and bring it to market with a little change. This is one such example, now Apple's iPod shuffle has been transformed by a Chinese company.

The designers at Crownfast Technology in China probably went on vacation, and so it seemed easier to steal another company’s product that underwent minor alterations. When the Apple iPod shuffle came out, many people missed the display as well as the FM radio. The MP270 therefore has a 128 × 32 pixel display with seven background colors, an FM radio and a voice recorder. Its battery allows for 12 hours of continuous playback, and its internal memory ranges from 64 MB to 1 GB. Unfortunately, the inclusion of the tiny screen has pretty much ruined the overall picture of the MP3 player, so the shuffle clone didn’t benefit from the change. We currently have no information on its expected price, but a lawsuit against Crownfast Technology is more than likely to be filed.
