The Noctua CPU tower has been given a new fan
The NH-U12P also offers full compatibility.
Austrian resident Noctua yanked the cover off the cooler of the latest processor yesterday, the latest addition to the hugely popular NH-U family. The new type faithfully follows the manufacturer’s successful U-shaped construction, but the copper-based heat pipes used in its predecessor, the NH-U12F, have been replaced by aluminum units. However, their number has not changed, in the same way 4 tubes supply the heat of the processor to the lamellae.
Furthermore, the new F-type was honored to carry the NF-P12 fan, which now directs air to the heat sink with 9 blades. It makes a maximum of 1300 rpm, which emits only 19,8 dB of noise at speeds. With the Noctua's special controller, the former values can be reduced even further, the speed can be reduced to 900 and the noise to 12,6 dB.
The product, which comes with a 6-year warranty, is available on virtually all processors in existence today, with only Xeon CPU owners having to wait a bit for the right spacers. The opening price of the NH-U12P is around € 57, but you will have to wait until November 28 for the purchase.
