New revision for Core i7s
The usual crease suture.
As we have become accustomed to with processors in recent times, we can again witness a step change - this time it is the turn of the smallest Core i7. The I0-7, boasting the code C920 until now, jumps to D0, which of course makes the newcomer "prettier and better" than its predecessor.
The new revision now (neither) represents a change in electronic, mechanical or thermal properties, however, the new stepping brings with it a new CPUID, meaning that a full BIOS update will be required on X58 motherboards to fully support the CPU.
The D0 Core i7 920 will be available worldwide around March and April at the earliest.
