Is the Nexus Two coming ?!

According to the latest news, the successor to the Nexus One could hit store shelves before Christmas.

Even before Christmas, the successor to the still-dominant Android device, the Nexus One, could hit stores in the island nation, City AM business magazine announced. Google is already sending the second device under its own brand to fight. That Nexus 2 would be the name of the new device for now is just my guess, which is why they would replace such a well-ringing and already well-known brand name.

Since Google only adds its name to the device, you also need to find a manufacturer for the device, as with the Nexus One, which was downloaded from HTC’s production lines. There are rumors that a contract is now being signed with Samsung.

What else can be known about the incoming device is that it will get the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, Gingerbread, which as it turns out today will be just a minor jump in version number compared to Froyo, and not just 3.0, but only Android 2.3.

So far, there has been controversy as to whether Gingerbread will eventually be released as 2.3 or 3.0. An image save uploaded to the World Wide Web today decided this too.

According to the latest rumors, Samsung will announce Google’s new device on November 8th.
