GIGABYTE USB 3.0 expansion card comes
While the card that fits into the × 1 PCI-Express slot isn’t too cheap, it can come in handy for users who need SuperSpeed USB but don’t want to upgrade.
GIGABYTE has recently introduced a device with the GA-USB3.0 model number, from which you can already guess what we are doing. If that’s not clear to anyone, it’s a PCI-Express expansion card, the use of which allows older computers to be equipped with the benefits of the USB 3.0 standard.
The card offers two SuperSpeed USB compatible connectors, can be inserted into a × 1 PCI-Express slot, the printed circuit board contains 2 ounces of copper in line with the standard GIGABYTE quality, and the molex connector allows three times as much recordable power as the device we could do without it.
The GIGABYTE GA-USB3.0 is now available abroad for $ 39,99 and $ 31, respectively.
