A new Enermax power supply series has been introduced

The new product line aims to target the average user with a lower price tag.

Enermax has introduced a whole new family of power supplies called the ErPro80 + and wants to compete in the wallet-friendly category where the emphasis is not on huge performance. There were three members in the series, a 350, a 400 and a 500 watt model. They have a number of features in common, such as the presence of 80 Plus certification, support for the ATX 2.3 standard, split 12-volt branches, or plenty of protection features (overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, overheating, short circuit, etc.). Each also supports so-called ErP Lot 6 technology, which allows it to reduce standby power consumption to less than 1 watt with high-efficiency 5-volt branches.

Even though the three members received “only” the 80 Plus sticker, their efficiency can reach up to 86% on a 230-volt network. On the plus side, even the smallest 350-watt model has received a PCI-E cable, while the other members already have two of them. The 12-volt branch is divided into several sections and is cooled by an automatically controlled 12 cm fan. The members of the new product family have a size of 150mm x 85mm x 140mm, a maximum operating (room) temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, and also meet the requirements of the EnergyStar 5.0 standard.

The manufacturer also packs cables and cable ties in the novelty box. The goods start from 59,90 euros, for which there is a 3-year warranty.
