The smartphone-sized HX50 delivers the imaging experience with a host of built-in features. Thanks to the advanced Optical Image Stabilizer, the Pocket Camera compensates for camera shake (Active Mode) twice as stable as its predecessor at 30x magnification, the HX200V, even when moving movies. Compared to the previous version, autofocus has also more than doubled. The Exmor R CMOS sensor and the BIONZ processor allow you to take high-quality images even in exceptionally low light conditions.

For more experienced photographers, the HX50 also has manual fine-tuning options such as shutter speed setting or P / A / S / M modes. In addition to the flash, a microphone can be attached to the multi-function flash shoe, which provides more sophisticated sound quality for Full HD (50p) video recording. With the help of the Multi Terminal connector, the device is also capable of wired remote control, so you can even zoom with the remote control while recording videos.

With built-in Wi-Fi, photos and videos you take can be shared quickly and easily. The HX50 is compatible with TRILUMINOS technology, displaying true-to-life, rich and natural color images on all screens using TRILUMINOS technology.

The size of the X-type lithium-ion battery is smaller than all its predecessors, but it can take up to 400 photos on a single charge.

The HX50 also allows for creativity. Three of the 9 different image effects can be used for panoramic shooting, and 4 effects can be selected for video recording.

The Cyber-shot ™ HX50 will be available in Europe from May 2013.
