The new iiyama monitor is based on an IPS panel
I may have already mentioned how pleased I am that IPS panel devices have become so widespread. If a lot of IPS panels need to be manufactured, the goods will go down, if the goods go down, the monitors built on them will be cheaper. If IPS monitors are going to be cheaper, we can forget about the TN + film panel. So be it!
This goal can be achieved by iiyama as well, as IPS panel displays are coming from them differently. Their latest product, the ProLite X2377HS, is now available. The 23-inch IPS panel has full HD resolution, which means 1920 x 1080 pixels make up the entire image. The contrast ratio is 1000: 1 and the brightness is 250 cd per m2, the response time is 5 ms and the viewing angles are 178/178 degrees. Exactly the data we can expect from an average IPS. The iiyama ProLite X2377HS got built-in 1,5 watt speaker pair as well as DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI connectors. The ProLite X2377HS will be in stores in August, with an expected price of $ 243.
