Samsung's latest netbook is based on the ION platform

Equipped with an advanced graphics core, the device heralds the arrival of the next generation of netbooks.

Many, many, many things have been heard about the Intel Atom platform, but in addition to the predominance of positive reviews, there is always a negative opinion that whips the Intel GMA950 graphics accelerator, which is in inseparable symbiosis with its superior central unit in its category. From this approach, (also) the entry of NVIDIA ION technology into the market, through which the Intel Atom processor family finally found a worthy partner, was welcome. One of the first netbooks based on the ION chipset has appeared in Samsung's offer: the N510 model may start selling in the United States within a few weeks, after which the machine is expected to appear in European markets.

At the heart of the small device continues to be an Intel Atom N270 processor, which is offset by its GeForce 9400M graphics core this time with its restrained multimedia performance: modern IGP enables seamless playback of HD content in 11,6-inch netbooks. 1366 × 768 pixel display is also a great companion.
