Internet Hungary conference, for the sixth time

The sixth Internet Hungary conference will deal with various services, blogs, online shopping and advertising, as well as the secure information society.

Instead of visions, this year the Internet Hungary conference, which will be held on October 11 and 12 in Tihany, will deal with the already operating services and models, the everyday application possibilities. The professional meeting will be opened by Kálmán Kovács, Minister of Informatics and Communications, and the speakers will include Minister of Economy János Kóka and Political Secretary of State Ferenc Baja. János Kóka will give a presentation on the relationship between the IT sector and competitiveness, and Ferenc Baja will give a presentation on the current situation of e-government services.

On the opening day, Albert László Barabási, professor of physics at Harvard University, will talk about the development of networks, and behavior researcher Mária Kopp (SOTE) will talk about the social effects of information dumping. The conference will also address the spread of the internet, online shopping and the gambling market, the role of blogs, the state of content services, broadband internet and the upcoming second dotcom explosion. Stefano Maffuli, President of the Free Software Foundation (FSF), presents the opportunities offered by open source software.
