Intelligent cheapness from Abit

The I45D board will also handle the processors of the near future.

A true entry-level whore will be Abit’s latest newcomer, even if it doesn’t look like it at first glance. The simple PCB has a pair of Intel 945GC + ICH7 chipsets, which can rightly be considered an age-old solution, but if we take into account the fact that the board can also operate members of the Penryn CPU family, our image of the I45D will change immediately. .

Intelligent cheapness from Abit

The memory section is no longer so fresh, due to the capabilities wired into the 945GC, we can only use DDR2-667 modules. Expansion cards, on the other hand, have a sufficient number of slots in the battle row, with three PCIe × 16 and PCIe × 1 slots waiting for three plain PCI slots for the remaining elements from previous configurations. The card is able to control a total of six hard disks, four of which can be SATA 3.0 Gbps. True to the entry level, only a five-channel sound generator and a 10/100 network controller could fit on the PCB, but even these are ample enough for average home use.

So this would be the I45D, which if we were to describe it with a resounding marketing text, we would say something like that we are facing a card with the right equipment that faces the most competitive price against its opponents.
