Intel: Fall 3 Lynnfield CPUs arrive
Later, two moderate-consumption models will be introduced.
Since April we know Intel is planning to launch three Lynnfield CPUs for the first time, their launch is expected on September 8 becomes due. Along with them, their chipset, the Intel P55, arrives.
One our previous writing although it provided information on what Intel's new processors would be named - for example, it turned out that the six-core Gulftown would be named Core i9 - but at the time we didn't know what type designations the Lynnfields would come from. Our table below shows this.
Intel | Model | Code name | Clock | Turbo Boost | Seeds / HT | L3 cache | Virtualization (Intel VT) | Memory controller | Socket | Consumption | Price |
Core i7 | 870 | Lynnfield | 2,93 GHz | 3,60 GHz | 4 / 8 | 8 MB | again | Two-channel | LGA1156 | 95 W | $ 562 |
Core i7 | 860 | Lynnfield | 2,80 GHz | 3,46 GHz | 4 / 8 | 8 MB | again | Two-channel | LGA1156 | 95 W | $ 284 |
Core i7 | 860s | Lynnfield | 2,53 GHz | ? | 4 / 8 | 8 MB | again | Two-channel | LGA1156 | 82 W | ? |
Core i5 | 750 | Lynnfield | 2,66 GHz | 3,20 GHz | 4 / 4 | 8 MB | nem | Two-channel | LGA1156 | 95 W | $ 192 |
Core i5 | 750s | Lynnfield | 2,40 GHz | ? | 4 / 4 | 8 MB | nem | Two-channel | LGA1156 | 82 W | ? |
We do not have information on when the low-power versions - Core i7 860s and Core i5 750s - will be available.
