Grand Theft Auto V has become a real money press

According to MarketWatch, no book, game, or movie has generated that much revenue yet.

No question, GTA 5 is a very well done work. The game debuted on consoles back in 2013, and has since sold 90 million copies. Only names such as e.g. Minecraft (144 million) or Tetris (170 million). Even seeing this popularity, it’s not easy to imagine how the game could generate $ 6 billion for its developers - it cost $ 265 million to produce anyway.

The amazing success of Grand Theft Auto V is due in part to the fact that it has received an amazing amount of additional content over the years; users were thus always provided with, the game simply could not get bored. The only side effect of the success is that the next part of the series can only appear in 2022.
