HSDPA speed record

Cingular in the U.S. recently unveiled its HSPDA service, and a speed record has now been set in this regard.

The largest U.S. GSM provider, Cingular, recently introduced BroadbandConnect, HSDPA-based service, which already goes beyond 3G UMTS, is no longer called 3,5G by accident: it offers download speeds of 400-700 KBit / s using a PCMCIA card and a laptop. The Cingular system is made up of Class 6 towers, which are theoretically capable of speeds of up to 3,6 MBit / s; now with a QUALCOMM MSM 6280 chipset card this has also been successfully tested. In any case, the deployment of 3G UMTS has only just begun in Hungary.
