HP iPAQ hx4700 WM5 Update: Postponed again

The world’s favorite soap opera from the PDA continues.

Last May, HP was one of the first to announce the Windows Mobile 5 update for several of its PDAs. This will appear in August for the hx2000 PDAs, however, according to the official explanation, "unforeseen delay due to the lack of an external driver" no update was released for the hx4700. After that announced, that the first of March is the big date for all hx4700 owners. This date came and went, but the update was still shrouded in darkness. Well, according to the latest information — "due to production problems" — the new operating system will have to wait until April 1st. Let's hope that HP won't announce that it was all just an April Fool's joke.
