How to choose an office printer?Useful ideas from HP experts.

At first glance, buying an office printer may seem easy, but the cheapest device is not necessarily the best option. It is important to consider the needs of our company and also the cost of continuing to use the printer.

You can choose a printer online, but before you buy, it's a good idea to consider the following:

  • do you want to print in black and white or color?
  • on average, how many pages would we print per month?
  • are cost-effectiveness and print durability important?
  • do we want to print in A3 size?

If you always print in black and white, you only need to determine the approximate monthly print volume. In each case, a black laser printer is the optimal choice: below 200 pages per month, an entry-level laser printer, and above 200-300 pages, a more powerful laser printer may be the right device.

If a company prints frequently in color as well, there are three things to consider: page count, cost-effectiveness, and durability. HP recommends an HP Officejet inkjet printer for less than 500 pages per month and a color laser printer for more than 2500 pages per month. If your business wants to print between 500 and 2500 pages per month on an average of XNUMX to XNUMX pages, regardless of important paper durability, an HP color laser printer is recommended, but if cost-effectiveness is paramount, an HP Officejet Pro inkjet printer is right for you.
