Nokia Surge has also been officially introduced

The Finnish manufacturer has finally lifted the veil from its long-awaited device.

The development of mobile phones - with a slight exaggeration - seems to be divided into two basic directions: while one group includes models with a touch-sensitive display intended primarily for multimedia use, the other segment enters business devices equipped with a full-fledged physical keyboard. Among the latter, Nokia Surge will take the stage, facing its opponents overseas for the first time.

The primary input of the device this time is the already mentioned QWERTY keyboard, which can be pulled out from the side of the device. Of course, the 2,4-inch QVGA resolution display is also suitable for horizontal use, so text content (e-mails, SMS messages) is much easier to view than with a device with a classic vertical display. Data transfer is provided by a quad-band GSM module that is also compatible with HSDPA networks, but Wi-Fi is not included in the device. The amount of internal memory is only 128 MB, however, the available storage can be staggered up to 8 GB using a microSD card.

The Nokia Surge, equipped with an FM radio tuner, GPS receiver and Bluetooth radio, will only be available in this form at the AT&T service provider, however, we would not be surprised if we soon see the device on the shelves of European stores with the "E-Series" logo on the back. …
