Official Play Station 4 announcement (was) from Sony
Sony Computer Entertainment has shown the simple, modern and sleek design of the PlayStation® 4. The long-awaited unveiling took place at one of the world’s largest video game conferences, E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles.
The PS4’s internal system and structure, from the optical drive to the cooling system, has been designed to favor the design so that the housing is as narrow and light as possible. With its linear lines, the all-new console has been given a simple yet modern look, with four distinctive blocks that make up the unit with a touchpad, buttons, indicator light and vent. The power light on the top of the case illuminates the box blue during use.
Unusual, the front and back of the housing is tilted a bit, which not only is a great help to the player in turning on and inserting the disc, but also allows them to hide the cables. The matte and glossy “Jet Black” black hue gives the console a sophisticated look. The PlayStation®4 is also paired with the Dualshock®4 Wireless Controller and PlayStation®Camera in the same color as accessories.
Since February 2013, the number of developers for the PlayStation®4 platform has increased from 126 to 505, bringing the total software offering to a total of 110 games with the collaboration of various developers and publishers. Upcoming games include titles such as Destiny ™ (Bungie in collaboration with Activision Publisher), Diablo®III (Blizzard Entertainment), KINGDOM HEARTS III and FINAL FANTASY® XV (SQUARE ENIX), Assassin's Creed®IV ( Black Flag ™), Watch_Dogs ™ (Ubisoft Entertainment), NBA®2K14 (2K Sports), The Elder Scrolls® Online (Bethesda Games Studios), and Mad Max ™ (Warner Bros.).
Of course, SCE Worldwide Studios is also planning a number of games, with a total of 30 titles under development with 12 brand new IPs. Sony’s expected innovations include Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack, inFAMOUS: SeconSon, #DRIVECLUB, and The Order 1886. Within a year of the arrival of the PlayStation®4, 30 of the 20 games will be available.
The PlayStation®4 will be available in Europe from the Christmas season.
