Official: Doom 4 is coming!

The members of the id Software team could not have made us a better Wednesday night.

Todd Hollenshead himself, head of id Software, announced the good news that the team has started working on the fourth installment of the Doom series. However, he did not provide any other information, all we could learn from his statement was that the development would be done entirely in-house, and from the current job opportunities that are still running, it seems that a multi-platform game is being prepared. And it is almost obvious that the game will be based on the id Tech 5 engine, the operation of which has already been seen in a few demonstrations.

It’s time for a new episode to restore the film’s humiliated Doom universe

The release, of course, hasn’t been released yet, so it’s only worth pushing for the time being for Doom 4 to be released before Duke Nukem Forever. 🙂
