News about the Intel Haswell-E family

The lesson is again given to AMD, as it is made with an Intel eight-core desktop processor, which also handles DDR4 memories! With Hyper Threading support, the Haswell-E can work on 16 threads, with the core supported by 20 MB of third-level cache. The processor, made with 22nm manufacturing technology, has a pretty good appetite, although the 130-140-watt TDP is obviously coupled with hellish power.

As mentioned above, Haswell-E has DDR4 support. It is worth (possible) to buy four of these at once, as this is how the four-channel operation can be achieved. 

The new processor comes with the LGA2011-3 socket (unfortunately no backward compatibility) and the X99 Wellsburg-X PCH. The platform control bridge handles a total of 14 USB interfaces (6 USB 3.0 and 8 USB 2.0) and a maximum of 3.0 SATA 10 connectors.
