Vista RC1 will be released soon

According to inside information, the latest test version of Windows Vista, Release Candidate 1, will be released within a month.

Contrary to preliminary plans, it is likely that not only will beta testers be able to try out the RC1, which will be released in September, but it will be available and downloadable for anyone from the Microsoft website. Those who have participated in the testing of the second beta release, i.e. registered under the so-called Customer Preview Program, will be automatically notified of the release of the new release.

Nick White, the product manager of the Redmond team, revealed on the development team's Windows Vista Team Blog that the new Vista will have the "build 5505" version number.
