Maybe our readers will still remember that at this year’s Computex introduced himself the PowerColor HD 7970 X2 Devil 13 graphics card, which could break into the laurels of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690. The card combines the power of two Tahiti graphics processors, but back then we didn’t know their clock speed.

The monster looks like a CrossFire-bound Radeon HD 7970 by default, as the GPU runs at 925 MHz and the GDDR5 on-board memories spin at an effective 5,5 GHz. That in itself is nothing, but after firing the second BIOS, the graphics processor picks up the GHz Edition flag (running at around 1000 MHz) - at least according to Fudzilla. The lack of Powertune Boost suggests that the video card is not based on an updated version of the Tahiti chip, but since this is unofficial information, let’s not take it for granted yet.

The PowerColor HD 7970 X2 Devil 13 can start in a few weeks. With a price tag under $ 1000, we can be sure it’s just dazzling our eyes.
