LG’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system boasts a number of impressive technical parameters. Its lightning-fast operation is due to NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor, which is complemented by the largest quad-core smartphone with a 2150 mAh battery and a unique, high-definition visual experience on the 4,7-inch True HD IPS display. Since MWC, the LG Optimus 4X HD has also included new SiO + battery technology, the hugely useful Quick MemoTM function, and Media PlexTM for a more advanced multimedia experience.

The LG Optimus 4X HD model is equipped with NVIDIA’s quad-core mobile processor, the Tegra 3 chip, which actually uses a fifth core for maximum energy efficiency and outstanding performance. The Tegra 3 only operates all four cores when needed, using the fifth, energy-saving core in standby mode. In the future, following an upgrade, the LG Optimus 4X HD will have Eco Mode, which allows the user to shut down any core of the Tegra 3, making power consumption and performance even more manageable.

One of the new features available on the device’s UX interface is Quick Memo, which first appeared in the Optimus Vu, while the LG Optimus 4X HD is already running a newer version. Quick Memo is not an application, but an integral part of the Optimus 4X HD operating system and can be accessed from any application, such as games and video players. This feature allows you to take notes on the frozen screen, which can then be saved or shared as needed. It allows you to embed URLs in notes so that websites can be accessed directly by users.

With the Optimus 4X HD's advanced 8-megapixel backlit (BSI) camera, a useful new feature lets you select the best shot from a range of images, even just before the shutter-release button is released. In addition, with support for MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) and DLNA standards, the phone can be connected to televisions and other home devices in a variety of ways.

The LG Optimus 4X HD will be available for the first time in Europe, and we will provide information on the introduction of the device in Hungary later.
