LibreOffice 3.6.0 is recommended for advanced users

Among the changes are less spectacular (e.g., some operations are faster to perform and interoperability with other office packages has been improved) and more spectacular (e.g., the user interface has improved, the appearance of the program has moved closer to what it looks like today).
Recommended for advanced users LibreOffice 3.6.0 1 Wherever we look, the development is spectacular: new CorelDRAW importer, Alfresco integration using CMIS protocol, limited SharePoint integration, color scales and data bars in spreadsheet cells, PDF export with watermarks, improved automatic formatting in text document tables, high quality image resizing, Microsoft SmartArt import text documents and improved CSV management. In addition, there was a lot of input from the design team: a cleaner look (especially in the Windows version), nicer presentation templates, and a new startup screen.

The Document Foundation recommends that LibreOffice 3.6.0 be installed for advanced users who are not bothered by bugs and may be able to report them. For more conservative users, we recommend staying with LibreOffice 3.5 for now. For enterprise users, we recommend that LibreOffice be installed with the professional support of a company that can help with migration, end-user training, and maintenance.
