If it's up to Samsung to shoot the projectors!
Samsung is also officially unveiling its LED display for cinemas these days. The series of presentations will be on March 2017-27, 30. is held by the company as part of the 18th Cinemark Century Orleans event at the XD Theater. The premiere date coincides with the 2017 CinemaCon conference, which is the largest and most important event in the modern film industry and can attract guests from more than 80 countries.
The nearly 10,5-meter (34-foot) Samsung Cinema Screen is also suitable for a modern movie theater. In addition to 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels) LED image quality, the display exceeds the highest requirements of the DCI specification - this unified system is synonymous with high technical standards, reliability and excellent image quality in the digital film industry. This means that Samsung’s new display outperforms technologies used in traditional film screening, providing viewers with a more lifelike picture.
Cinema Screen uses direct-illuminated LED technology that brings High Dynamic Range (HDR) colors to cinemas. Contents can be displayed at up to ten times higher brightness than with conventional projectors (146fL and 14fL). The distortion- and interference-free image becomes uniform. In addition, the new technology also offers realistic colors. Adjusting the additional ultra-contrast and low-tone grayscale allows the contrast ratio of the brightest colors and the darkest blacks to approach the infinite one-to-one limit. Cinema Screen technology is complemented by an innovative sound system thanks to the recently acquired Harman Professional Solutions' Cinema Group and Samsung Audio Lab.
