Fujitsu's "EcoCALC" web tool has won a Green IT award
Fujitsu has announced that it has won the jury’s special award in the “Using IT to Reduce Society’s Energy Consumption” category in this year’s award program for the Green IT Promotion Council in Japan, which promotes the spread of green information, using its EcoCALC web tool.

The EcoCALC web tool compares the COXNUMX emissions before and after the installation of the system under study to provide a quantitative estimate of the extent to which the use of ICT reduces the environmental impact.
The tool allows companies to calculate the extent to which they can achieve emissions reductions through the use of ICT, taking into account factors such as material use, movement of people and materials, office and storage space requirements, power consumption of ICT equipment and data communication volume.
With the Green IT Award, the panel recognized that the tool demonstrates the reduction in COXNUMX emissions achieved through ICT in an innovative and original way, and that Fujitsu is proactively using the solution in its customer offerings.
