GIGABYTE Z77X-UP4 TH - with the power of lightning
Test configuration:
The system was first measured with basic settings in all respects, and then a tuning was performed in the second phase. The processor was tuned to 1,34 MHz at an operating voltage of 4600 V, while the XMP 1 profile was used for the memories, so they ran at 1866 MHz. The tests were then performed again.

Three fresh models from GIGABYTE have been creased, and this time the manufacturer has not delayed doing homework for long. The Ultra Durable 5 has already been present for more serious Z77 PCH boards, this has now been supplemented with the Powerstage IR3550 chip, and its practical benefits will probably be felt more by tuning-minded customers. Of course, the GA-Z77X-UP4 TH knows everything like its Z77 predecessors in a similar category, but the summer’s driving force, Thunderbolt, has also been added to the armory, plus in pairs. Intel's lightning-fast interface is, and will be, a good thing if it has the tools. Of course, it's still good for display purposes, but we don't take much advantage of the huge bandwidth. The technology is in a situation like USB 3.0 at the time.
The motherboards are familiar, but the device is still very rare to use. Of course, the only advantage is if it is on the motherboard, as the situation may change in a few months, and we will be very happy to have the Thunderbolt interface. The GA-Z77X-UP4 is a good mid-range motherboard with a few extras, good tuning capabilities, not far behind its higher-end counterparts, perhaps the lack of a small SATA 6.0 interface and the lack of eSATA, or even a second LAN port is. Overall, we won our liking, and we can't recommend it just because it will be on the shelves of stores at a fairly high price, over HUF 60, and we think it will decrease somewhat in a short time.
