The most attractive feature of the Core i5 platform compared to its brother is undoubtedly the better price tag, as we think it all the way through: the Lynfields will be cheaper by default than the Bloomfields, we will only need two-channel memory kits, and now here’s the new news: € 100 motherboard Intel P55 built around.
The GIGABYTE P55M-UD2 can be pre-ordered for 91 euros on the price list of a German-speaking online store. We don’t know much about the microATX board, however the following are likely: LGA1156 socket, 1 PCI Express × 16 bus, six SATA connectors, gigabit LAN and 7.1 audio.
