The GoBook XR-1 can be used in extreme conditions: water, dust and shock resistant.

The rugged notebook features the Intel Core Duo’s 1,83 GHz CPU, codenamed T2400, with 2 megabytes of L667 cache and 512 MHz FSB. Its memory defaults to a 2 MB DDR2 module, but it can be further expanded up to 12,1 GB. Its display is a 1024-inch XGA-type TFT with a maximum resolution of 768 × 22, and its graphics controller is ATI's mobile solution, the M128 with 40 MB of VRAM. Data storage functions are provided by the 80 or XNUMX gigabyte SATA HDD or the DVD / CD-RW combo optical drive or DVD burner.

Access and communication anywhere in the world is provided by a gigabit LAN, built-in 56K modem, 802.11b / g wireless device, Bluetooth and GPS. The 3,1-pound notebook is also equipped with a SmartCard and ExpressCard reader, three USB 2.0 ports and an IEEE1394 Firewire interface. The battery, which can be used in temperatures between -23 and +60 degrees Celsius, provides 4-6 hours of operating time. The GoBook XR-1 can be purchased at a starting price of $ 4330, or about 890 forints.
