Garmin navigation for iPhone

Garmin has announced its navigation software for the iPhone.

Although the company has recently released mostly its own navigation devices, it has now released a navigation software for the iPhone. The novelty is called the Garmin StreetPilot.

StreetPilot offers the same features as stand-alone navigation devices made by Garmin: voice navigation, voice control, real-time traffic information, a multi-million POI database, weather forecasting. Of course, some features require an active internet connection. The novelty can also run in the background. StreetPilot is currently only available in the U.S. and Canada, where we can download it from the AppStore for $ 40.
