We are curious to see what developments will follow the words.

NVIDIA stands up for the players

It is not new that the graphics card market is in ruins, but at least half on its knees. The big losers in the situation are the players, as we can face an amazing overpricing over the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Of course, NVIDIA has no say in whether traders favor miners or players, in any case, they have expressed their views in the days to come; The primary goal of the GeForce brand is to conquer the gamer world, I want sellers to focus on that first! There is not too much room for maneuver at this point, an aggressive order limit (1-2 pieces) can be expedient - there have been references to this as well.

Let's ignite the production lines?

The question arises as to why the greens do not spin up yields in order for all orders to be fulfilled? Well, the explanation lies in the uncertain vision of cryptocurrencies. Many people expect it to suddenly burst balloon, and then huge stocks would be stuck inside, as reserved production capacity could not be freed up overnight - AMD could already taste it in 2014. It’s also worth noting that Pascal architecture will soon be two years old - it’s not in its final days yet, but it’s approaching it anyway.

Players against the miners

Does it not matter to whom the product is sold? A miner buys in a lot that the average player certainly can’t compete with. So is it just a sprinkling of dust from NVIDIA? Not quite. Miners don’t have brand loyalty, they take what’s just right. A player, on the other hand, tends to make emotional decisions, so it can be committed to several generations. Another risk is that in the event of a crisis, by definition, miners will immediately begin to get rid of the stack of graphics cards, which could thoroughly disrupt the market. The main danger is essentially unpredictability.

If you run out of patience

There are other aspects that the Greens must be considering. In the current situation, it’s easy to imagine a basically PC gamer losing their patience and investing in a new generation console - at current prices, this seems to be paying off. Obviously, this is not the best scenario for the company. The Santa Clara company is under pressure from other points of view anyway, as AMD hearts are beating in the aforementioned consoles, so there is a risk that they will be at a disadvantage in games ported from there. By implication, the protection against this is to ensure a sufficient market share - which is not a problem now, by the way - because then the developers will also provide the necessary optimization at the cost of any extra work. It’s easy to see that NVIDIA is hardly interested in the success of the consoles, and miners are already very “driving” to it.
