Futuremark 3DMarkMobile06

Futuremark's latest test program has been released, this time for mobile phones.

This version is intended for developers of the OpenGL ES 1.0 and 1.1 platforms. The graphics chip that supports the language can already be found in several mobile devices, such as the Dell X50v and X51v PDAs. 3DMarkMobile06 Developers \\ ”Edition includes the following tests:

  • 3D game tests
  • Image quality
  • Pixel, vertex and processor tests
The graphical interface of the program is minimal, it can be configured from a command line or a configuration file. Tests can even be run in batches. The result is obtained in frames per second, polygon per second and texel per second. The source code is licensable, so any developer can build the test program on the platform they use. Future versions will already support OpenGL ES 2.0. The source code for the program will be available to Futuremark BDP members from November; and the translated version of 3DMarkMobile06 will be more widely available for Windows (i386), Windows CE (ARM) and Symbian (ARM).
