Up-to-date information on ATI's latest mobile graphics core

Instead of the mobilized RV670, the manufacturer is sending another development into battle for the time being.

The latest graphics driver for laptops has been added to the website of the Canadian manufacturer in a nice silence, and after reading its parameters we should be sorry, because this GPU is not yet based on the RV670 plan, which is just conquering the desktop market. The product, christened the Mobility HD 2700, is accordingly only equipped with DirectX 10 capabilities, and the internal design follows the HD 2600 series.

Notebook owners will therefore still have access to 120 computing units and 128-bit GDDR2 / GDDR3 memories. Unfortunately, we have no information about their clocks, but let us be comforted to know that, like the desktop brothers, Avivo HD and PowerPlay 7.0 technology are fully supported.
