The Geforce GTS 450 is also on a diet

Colorful replaced everything except the graphics processor on its custom-designed card.

Chinese-based Colorful delights customers with another Geforce GTS 450, which is a slim design, i.e. a “single-slot” model. The special feature of this product is not only the cooling that occupies one card slot, but also the manufacturer has replaced almost all the components except the graphics processor. This means that the PCB's own 1 Gbit memory chips on the reference solution have been replaced by 2 Gbit Hynix chips, as well as the C POS CAP capacitors are also much lower. The power supply is 3 + 1 phase and the previously mentioned GDDR5 memory chips are placed one side at a time.

Pictures of the cooler of Colorful's extra-thin Geforce GTS 450 card have not yet been received, nor is anything known about the expected price or the official start date.
