Robotic vacuum cleaners are becoming more and more popular, so they are very popular at Christmas and in the spring. The popularity before Christmas is even understandable, as the robotic vacuum cleaner is not cheap, the usable pieces start at 40 thousand forints, so many people combine the gift with the purchase of the long-awaited vacuum cleaner. I note they do well, as they have the biggest discounts during this period, and since we still have more than a month until Christmas, the robot can even come here from China. Of course, if you don't trust this, there are other options, as we can order from a European warehouse a little more expensive, but with a delivery time of 2-5 working days. After describing the machines, I will also indicate this option, indicating, of course, the current Chinese and European purchase price.

In this article, I present the most popular, ie the 5 (6) types most often bought by Hungarian customers, and you also get an extra machine, which is not a robot, but not a traditional one. More on that at the end of the article, let's start with robots now!

1. iLife V5S Pro robotic vacuum cleaner

ILife vacuum cleaners are very popular in Hungary, and this list is the best proof of that. Of the six machines listed, three came from this manufacturer and the other three from Xiaom, which means that we have these two manufacturers plan the market.

The iLife V5S Pro is one of the most commonly purchased models, and not just because of its price, although it is the cheapest piece on this list. So good price isn’t enough for popularity anymore, you also need attractive capabilities, and the V5S has gotten quite a few extras.

The machine is also good in terms of traditional capabilities. We get a 0,3 liter powder tank, a 0,3 liter water tank - we'll talk about that later -. The battery has a capacity of 2500 mAh, which can be charged from zero to one hundred in the worst case in 350 minutes and can be saved in 120-150 minutes on a single charge. This capacity is also sufficient for an average house of 150-180 square meters, according to the manufacturer, but I would say less than that, especially if the apartment is articulated. Of course, it’s no problem when the battery is depleted because it returns to the dock to recharge itself. Speaking of the technical data, it should also be mentioned here that the undercarriage of the vacuum cleaner can overcome a 15 percent slope, the permeable threshold height is 10-12 millimeters. The machine has a low construction, so most furniture rolls down to be cleaned without any problems.

The suction power of the V5S Pro is 850 Pa, which is good in this category. The cleaning is helped by the fact that the manufacturer has mounted two round brushes on the bottom of the machine, so there really is no problem with sweeping the corners. As you can read, there is a water tank in the machine, and it follows directly from this that we also get a MOP function.

What is the MOP function? Many people say it is completely unnecessary because a robotic vacuum cleaner can’t mop just smear. It may come as a surprise, but these people are right, robotic vacuum cleaners really can’t mop in the sense of rubbing the floor with a mop. The dried raspberry syrup drops will not disappear. The MOP function is quite different. If we vacuum, no matter how strong our machine is, after the work we see that the floor is still matte. This is because a thin layer of dust always remains even after vacuuming. The MOP will eliminate this. That is, the circular brushes of the machines sweep up, sweep the garbage under the machine, the roller brush heavily rubs the floor, in a good case it also removes the stuck dirt, and the MOP finishes cleaning, removes the remaining thin layer of dust and makes the floor shiny.

What else do you need to know about the iLife V5s Pro robotic vacuum cleaner? There are other curiosities, such as remote control. This machine has not yet received a telephone application, but it does have a remote control that allows us to control the machine up to a distance of about four meters.

The V5S Pro can clean in four modes. The automatic cleaning clear, we start and use its sensors to clean every crawl in the apartment. The Edge Cleaning it goes around the apartment along the walls and furniture, i.e. it is very good for removing cartilage that accumulates in the corners and walls. THE Spot Cleaning working at a designated point in the apartment, this can be used on heavily soiled parts, and for me this feature did a good service when I smashed a glass. I collected the larger pieces, but due to the very small shards, which are almost invisible to the naked eye, I set the vacuum cleaner at the scene of the accident. Last left a Schedule Cleaning, which covers a timed cleaning. We can set the number of hours the vacuum cleaner starts to work, so for example we can schedule the cleaning for a period when we are working, the kids are in school and the machine can do its job smoothly.

As you can see, the iLife V5S Pro is a really good structure. You know a lot about its price, and if you don’t feel essential to having a phone app and a wifi connection, it can be a really good choice.

The price of the iLife V5S Pro robotic vacuum cleaner is now HUF 11.11 within the framework of the 40 promotion, for which we can calculate a delivery cost of HUF 500, if we choose priority line delivery free of duty and VAT.

The iLife V5S Pro can also be ordered from a European warehouse (Fast-29 and Fast-36), the former can be expected to cost 49 thousand, the latter 51500 HUF, but the machine will arrive in 5-7 working days!

2. iLife A4S robot vacuum cleaner

The second machine in the line, ie in price, also came from iLife. This machine is a bit dumber than the previous machine, but still better in some capabilities. I will try to focus on the differences compared to the iLife V5S Pro on this and the next machine!

So the iLife A4S is recommended for users who don’t stick to the MOP feature but live in a larger apartment or house. Here it is worth mentioning what I described in the previous machine only as an indication that:

The capacity per square meter specified by the manufacturer can vary greatly depending on the layout of the apartment. Despite the large battery, the long operating time, when the rooms are full of stacked chairs, the rooms are small and there are many of them. These all prolong the cleaning time, so as a good piece of advice, it’s definitely important to describe how to put in a little tidy before cleaning. The machine will be able to work faster and more precisely!

The iLife A4S has a 50 percent larger dust container than the V5S Pro. This is also justified because the machine has a higher suction power, which means 85 passes instead of 100, making it better for dustier rooms. The battery capacity is unchanged, but the manufacturer has given the ideal area of ​​use for an apartment of 180-200 square meters due to the higher cleaning efficiency. Due to the higher suction power, the machine is also louder, but still not disturbing, with only 65 decibels of maximum output noise.

Many of the extras mentioned on the previous machine can also be found here. There is also a remote control and a double round brush, the height of the machine is only 7,6 centimeters, which means it is low in construction so that you can clean under the furniture. Of course, the machine is familiar with the four cleaning methods listed in the previous version, and it has also been given a fifth, Mini-Room Cleaning function, which makes cleaning rooms that are supposedly smaller than its name more efficient.

So I recommend the iLife A4S robotic vacuum cleaner for families who live in a larger and / or dustier apartment, do not stick to the MOP function.

So as you can see, the iLife A4S is a more powerful machine without mopping, and in exchange for more power, we only have to pay minimally more.

The price of the iLife A4S is now very discounted due to the 11.11 promotions, we have to pay 46 HUF for it when ordered from a Chinese warehouse, the delivery cost is free of duty and VAT free priority line delivery!

This machine can also be purchased from a European warehouse (Fast-23), plus it is slightly more expensive than from the Far East. Even when ordered from an EU warehouse, we only have to pay HUF 48 for it, for which we can count on a delivery cost of HUF 1400, but the vacuum cleaner can be in our hands in as little as 3-5 working days!

3. iLife V7S Plus robot vacuum cleaner

I’m not going to write too much about this machine, as it’s the successor to the first member on the list. Or to be completely accurate, the successor was the iLife V7S Pro, the Plus is the successor to the Pro. Crazy big differences here are no different from previous versions. There are fewer, there is only one round brush instead of a catheter, but the software is somewhat more advanced, which is likely to make this shortcoming imperceptible. There is also a MOP feature here, which is welcome. An important difference is that the water tank and the dust tank are integrated into one, and in addition, the capacity of both water tanks has increased from 3 dec to 4,5 dec. The suction power has also increased, 1000 pa here as well, which predicts that the manufacturer will recommend it for larger homes despite the fact that the battery capacity has not changed.

Of course, there is a remote control here as well and there are also four cleaning modes, so we don’t have to give up anything.

The iLife V7S Plus is therefore an upgraded version of the V5S Pro for a slightly higher price. Currently, in the 11.11 campaign, we have to pay 46 forints for this machine, and the delivery costs 300 forints if we choose the duty and VAT-free priority line mode.

Unfortunately, there is no alternative to this vacuum cleaner in a European warehouse.

4. Xiaomi Mi robotic vacuum cleaner

Xiaomi has introduced itself to the robotic vacuum cleaner market with this machine, and perhaps needless to say, it immediately became a price champion in its category. This category was clearly the pinnacle, as this vacuum cleaner does not map an infrared sensor, nor with a camera, but with a laser sensor around the room. This is of great importance because we have finally forgotten about the vacuum cleaners that move in the apartment. Xiaomi's machine maps the room in real time after departure and plans the most optimal route. Because of the optimization, it is almost impossible to go through an area more than once, unless we want to, so you work faster and more precisely.

The top-notch feeling is reinforced by the fact that we don’t get 850 or pascals of suction here, but 1800 pascals, which is a significant difference. True, this also means that the machine is louder at maximum speed, but this is perhaps understandable, even if the path of the larger amount of air is well planned, optimized to infinity, the air will have a sound due to intake and exhaust.

As an additional extra, we can look at the battery, which has a double capacity of exactly 5200 mAh capable of the machines presented so far. This is good not only because it will continue to work on a single charge, but also because the battery capacity will decrease over time, but the 5200 mAh has room to decrease. When you only know half the factory value, it will still be as much as a cheaper vacuum cleaner in your new age.

So with this vacuum cleaner we can cut into the cleaning of larger flats, the souffle will not run out. The dust collection tank was also sized for this larger capacity, which is not 3- but 4,2 decis.

So this vacuum cleaner has strong hardware, and now I mean not only the suction power, but also the hardware we tend to test for computing capacity. The machine has three processors in addition to plenty of sensors, so not only real-time route planning, but also other interesting things are here!

The upper-class feel is enhanced by control from the phone app and the fact that we can integrate the machine into our Xiaomi smart home ecosystem. This pretty much means that the vacuum cleaner is connected to the internet via wifi, so we can even start cleaning from our workplace via mobile internet, and even with minimal delay, we can also see where the vacuum cleaner is in the apartment.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum cleaner is therefore a high-end piece, which is why its price is higher than the vacuum cleaners listed so far. However, before you look at the price, one thing you should know. The price of Xiaomi's robotic vacuum cleaner has dropped by about a third in the last month, and in the current 11.11 promotion we only have to pay 78 thousand forints for it. I know that 78 thousand forints is not a little money, but if we look at how much similar solutions from competing manufacturers cost, we will see that the Xiaomi Mi robotic vacuum cleaner is perhaps the best value-for-money machine in the world today! There could be only one reason why I wouldn't choose this if I could buy the upgraded version (which I bought anyway)

5 + 1/2. Xiaomi Roborock S50 and S55 robot vacuum cleaner

We have arrived at the vacuum cleaner that is currently the top for me. Xiaomi’s best (but not the latest) vacuum cleaner is clearly considered a further development of the Xiaomi Mi robotic vacuum cleaner. The most important thing is that the laser gun tower on the roof has been left, which can accurately map the room, the built-in computer, because here we can talk about a computer, it is able to map and plan routes in real time. The machine is running a Linux version anyway, which gives the experimenter space to even modify the program.

With this machine, we can see the improvement in one place, which is the appearance of the MOP function. Nor did it happen in any way, as it was resolved at Xiaomin to be able to wipe the entire apartment with just 1,4 deci of water. The MOP material uses a natural solution, which makes the vacuum cleaner extremely economical, allows it to run evenly and very thinly on the floor, and when the machine stops, the water does not leak further.

However, the development was accompanied by other changes. Software and sensors have evolved, and, importantly, suction power has not been neglected. The predecessor's 1800 pascals were raised to 2000 pascals, but in the meantime the noise not only did not increase, but perhaps even decreased, but it was also possible that only the pitch of the sound changed so that it was less disturbing. This, of course, had to be modified by air. It is important to add that we can eliminate this relative loudness by twisting the suction force down, because of course we can do this through the telephone application as well.

I wouldn't go any further with the tutorial now, because you can also read a fairly detailed test of this vacuum cleaner with us. You can read about real experiences, because a Xiaomi Roborock S50 has served us for quite a few months! By the end, all I want here is that, to my knowledge, there is no difference in color between the S50 and S55 currently available. Not much in the price, so if you find a black robotic vacuum cleaner cooler, feel free to buy the S55, if someone else likes white or maybe even feel like spending a few bucks on black because of it, stay tuned for the cheaper white version !

Let us also say a few words about the price. The Xiaomi Roborock S50 was priced at just over $ 500 when it introduced itself. That didn’t change for a long time, then we got a price around $ 450, and then we approached $ 400 once in a while, though only with special coupon promotions. Now, however, thanks to year-end discounts, both the S50 and S55 are available at unprecedented prices. The Xiaomi Roborock S50 is only priced at $ 11.11 in the 370 promotion, and we have to pay $ 55 for the S380. It’s good to know that just a few months ago, we were able to buy our predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi robotic vacuum cleaner, for that, so if you think you want the best, this is the best time to invest in it. As I describe with these on the previous machine, 107 and 109 thousand forints is not a little money for a robotic vacuum cleaner. We already get a usable machine for half of that amount, but whoever wants the top category, the best, pays that amount for it, if only because it's true here, as with the previous vacuum cleaner, that robotic vacuum cleaners with similar capabilities won't to get at such a low price.

At the end, I left another machine that I find worth mentioning when it comes to vacuum cleaners. It’s not a robot, it doesn’t have anything automatic in it, it’s a completely conventional cordless vacuum cleaner. Nowadays, these machines are becoming more and more popular, though not as a primary vacuum cleaner, but as a kind of rushing when you suddenly need to absorb some dirt.

These machines are charged in a wall-mounted dock, you can vacuum for 25 minutes anyway, but that's not the point, because in the rarest of cases we'll use it for 25 minutes. It is not a matter of doing so, but that the light machine can be put into operation in a matter of seconds without winding the mains cord and searching for a socket.

I would like to highlight four more things about the machine. The first is that it is dust-free, the sucked bag can be poured out of the plastic container. The second is that with the short attachment it can even be used as a crumb vacuum cleaner, because its weight makes it suitable for this, at the same time the suction force is much higher than with a conventional crumb vacuum cleaner. The third is the head with the active brush, which is rotated by an electric motor, so it also picks up the stubborn dirt from the floor while vacuuming. The fourth is the price. Alfawise is GearBest’s own brand name, the store is trying to collect products with the best value for money under that name. From my own experience, I can say that they mostly do it! In the case of the Alfawise HC - 1D03, for example, we know that we are not far behind the almost completely similar products of the more famous manufacturers, namely a price difference of 20-25 percent.

So if you feel like you don’t need a robotic vacuum cleaner, but would need some quick-to-use machine in addition to your bohemian large vacuum cleaner, I recommend this!
