Armed with extra soft cooling, the Stealth mini PC arrives
The system, based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, does not include any fans.
The new LCP625F has a total floor area of 7,9 inches × 7,9 inches with a height of 2,4 inches. Fortunately, the insignificant physical dimensions do not entail limited performance, which is guaranteed by the use of the 2,26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, 4 GB of system memory, and a 2,5-inch hard drive. Instead of the latter unit, SSD storage can be optionally requested, as can a more powerful alternative from a processor; the P9500, also made by Intel, already has a clock speed of 2,53 GHz. A novelty based on Intel's G45 chipset, the integrated GMA X4500 graphics core is capable of playing high-definition material, which can be transmitted via HDMI output in addition to the classic DVI-I port. The equipment also includes eight USB ports and an eSATA interface, which makes it easy to multiply the available background capacity.
The device, which can be supplemented with an 802.11g wireless network adapter on request, will be available at a purchase price of $ 1595, which, given the value obtained, seems a bit exaggerated.
