Presentation of EuroCase computer cases
EuroCase 800 black, unpowered
This piece gives the appearance of a more serious product at first glance, its structure tends towards server style. Its size is clearly larger than its average mid-towers, and the drives are covered and protected by a solid door. This solidarity affects the whole house, it is not overcooked at all, we think the grating of the lower half of the front panel shows well, in essence this part gives the character of the front.
Right at the front of the roof, we also find the front terminals (which in this case are more of a roof) closed behind a small swing door, the opening hides four pieces of USB 2.0, a microphone input and line output, and an eSATA.
Most of the front door is occupied by a mysterious black plastic area, which we learned contains a hidden display in the lower right half. Don't imagine a big panel, it's just a couple of lines, but it's all the more useful, as it provides data related to hard drive activity, time spent working and a current temperature (the sensor can be placed as you like). The door "moderately" convinced us, we have come across solutions that seem weaker and stronger, it makes a soft clicking sound when moving, and the closure is ensured by a magnet.
Inside, we find four 5,25 ″ and two 3,5 ″ slots, which we feel is a bit low knowing that at some level EuroCase wanted to create in a server spirit. Going down the front panel, in addition to the grids blessed with ventilation functions, we can only find the power button hidden in the silver disc, from which a small slice was also separated for the RESET.
Proceed to the back cover. The power supply can be mounted on top, but it is positive that it fits on a removable frame, so any removal of the power supply is easier and faster. On the middle level are the openings for the motherboard terminals and a mounting point for a 120 mm fan, which was also provided with a vent. The slots of the expansion cards remained in the lower part, of which seven can be found in number.
We also need to say a few words about the pages. The only element to be mentioned behind the motherboard is the 80 mm fan, which can be used to cool internally mounted 3,5 ″ drives. The interesting thing about the other side is the plastic gate valve, if you have to mow a lot in your machine, we just don’t screw it in, we just use this lock.
After the appearances, let’s see what the interior hides. That's right! Here we find plenty of unusual solutions. As a first step, we may start with the fact that the housing is affected in almost all respects by the spirit of screwless mounting, ie both expansion cards and 5,25 ″ and 3,5 ″ drives are fastened with plastic clips and rails. The frame reserved for 3,5 eszközök devices is rotated 90 degrees, and is fully removable, making movement operations faster.
Our next topic is cooling. There is nothing above average in that a 120 mm fan was installed behind the front panel, but a special frame was installed on the side, on which two more 120 mm fans were placed (regarding the turbines: all 120 mm models are made of transparent plastic made, emit a blue light during operation). These supply our cards and part of our motherboard with beneficial currents. Of course, the structure can be changed from "fixed" to movable with the help of a lock, so it does not hinder us at all during work. Some of the necessary plastic elements and bases can be found sealed in a bag inside the house, and the other half can be found hidden in a sophisticated plastic box with a sliding roof. We wish you a good installation!
