North America won't get the Nokia 808 from PureView?

Nokia says on its developer page that it will not sell its latest device, the Nokia 808 PureView, in North America.

Not so long ago, we also reported that Nokia unveiled a smartphone with 41 Megapixel optics at this year’s MWC. At that time, it was not yet possible to know exactly when and where the Finnish novelty would be available. Now, according to information posted on Nokia's developer site, the manufacturer wants to sell the Nokia 808 PureView worldwide, with the exception of North America.

This is partly understandable, as it was not so long ago that it was stated that the market in question would focus only on WP7 devices, and that a Symbian device would no longer be released there. From another point of view, it is interesting that no exception is made for such a device equipped with special optics.
