The Epson GT-2500 is a high-performance scanner for professional archiving and document management.
Epson's latest scanner can be an ideal choice for workgroups. It is designed to scan in good quality (1200 dpi optical resolution) and fast, up to 27 black and 11 color pages per minute. The machine features a number of performance-enhancing accessories such as Twain and ISIS drives for easy integration into document management systems, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity and a 50-sheet sheet feeder that automatically handles two-sided documents.
You can also purchase the Epson GT-2500 Plus, which includes additional software to make managing your business documents easier. Examples are PageManager 7, Bizcard OCR 5.0 and Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard. The GT-2500's features can be further expanded with the optional Epson Network Image Express Card, which allows you to share digital documents over a local area network.
The GT-2500 scans documents at 1200 × 1200 dpi optical resolution for high-quality color scanning and clear, sharp text. 9600 dpi interpolated resolution is also available when scanning photos. The descreening filter automatically optimizes the resolution to ensure smooth gradients in scanned documents at all times. Epson's Automatic Document Enhancement (ADE) technology improves the sharpness of text, giving you the same quality as the original document. Also, if there is something on the back of the document that you don’t need (for example, when scanning from a newspaper), you can easily remove it from the image.
With the newly structured roof, scanning stapled documents is now a breeze. The roof is fitted with a wrist strap that stays firmly open at any angle between 15 and 70 degrees. Fifty-page double-sided Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) lets you scan documents quickly in large batches. In addition, the ADF is extremely reliable and does not require constant attention, saving time.
The performance can be further increased with the program assignment button. If you set it to scan your files to the most commonly used application, you only need to press a single button when using the GT-2500. With Page Manager 2500 in the GT-7 Plus, you can scan directly to email, fax, printer, OCR, Microsoft Office, network folders or the Enterprise Document Management System.
Adobe Acrobat 2500 software, included with the GT-7.0 Plus, makes it easy to create and share secure and reliable Adobe PDF documents. A Presto! BizCard OCR 5.0 software is a precise business card organizer and contact management program. It handles most European business card templates perfectly, stores images in its database and organizes the data into the appropriate fields.
