Elephone P8 Mini - Not So Small
The Elephone P8 Mini is a new device that is a bit weird to call a mini. Not only because of its size, but also because of the hardware. The only thing that is less than usual is the price you are asked for.
Of course, I'm not completely like him, I understand that a mini is a mini because it "only" has a 5-inch display, and today you can't have a decent tablet (phablet) without a 5,5-inch display. Of course, this is bullshit, a few years ago the 5 col was considered quite big, and we felt that way when we got our hands on it.
The list of hardware for the Elephone P8 Mini is not at all what we would expect from a mini! The processor is an eight-core MTK1,5T running on 6750 GHz, alongside a Mali-T860 GPU. Now hold on well, the mini is packed with 4GB of system memory and 64GB of storage. Pleasant pairing with the eight-core proci!
As mentioned above, the phone's display is "only" 5 inches, but with FHD resolution, i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels, and the manufacturer is Sharp. Here comes the next point where you can hold on! There are three cameras on the mini. Among them, there is a 13-megapixel main camera and a two-megapixel secondary camera on the back. The third is, of course, on the front, and it is no less than 16 megapixels! Well, with this, you can take good self-portraits!
The other capabilities of the Elephone P8 Mini are "only" average. We can connect to computer networks via Wi-Fi, which supports the b/g/n standards. We find Bluetooth 4.1 to connect to other devices. There is GPS support for navigation, and 3G and LTE for mobile broadband, so that we can speed along the info highway while on the road. Here, it is important to note that the phone also supports the B20 800 MHz LTE frequency used here, so it cannot be accused, like many of its peers imported from China, of not being able to use it in rural areas.
The Elephone P7.0 Mini, which comes with the Android 8 operating system, also got a lot of sensors. There is a fingerprint reader, gyroscope, gravity sensor. Available in blue, red and black, the phone supports two SIM cards.
By the end, there was something left, and that was the price of the phone. Actually, this is the reason why I wrote this recommendation, as the price of the Elephone P8 Mini is now only $ 140, or roughly $ 40. Phones with similar hardware, with a display 0,5 inches larger, are already in the $ 200+ price range. Since I wouldn't dare say the 5-inch diagonal is small, I think that this half-inch minus is more than offset by the savings of at least 20 forints.
The price of the Elephone P8 Mini is great even if we add the duty and VAT, so it definitely has a place among the devices we recommend!
