Samsung has made Android 2.2 available for the Galaxy S.

The company has started updating the Galaxy S mobiles, and the lucky ones can now officially know the latest Android, Froy, on their device.

Froyo (Android 2.2) is available for the Samsung Galaxy S.

Samsung reportedly made the update available for the first time in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. If you can believe the rumors, the new system can arrive in Hungary within a few days. Highlights of the update:

  • Google Maps supports voice navigation
  • Adobe Flash Player 10.1
  • GPS receiver repair
  • new gmail application
  • Video recording in MP4 format

The easiest way to update our system is to use Kies, an official software download from Samsung. Browsing the forums, several people have already updated their device, the feedback is completely mixed. It is definitely worth waiting until we can officially update in Hungary as well!
