It collaborates with three major Smart TV manufacturers, LG, PHILIPS and SHARPThe development and use of smart TV applications will be further simplified.

LG, Philips and Sharp have agreed to set uniform technology requirements for their smart TVs for open standards such as HTML5, CE-HTML and HbbTV. As a first step in the collaboration, the first beta version of the Software Development Kit (SDK) will be introduced. With this software, it is enough for content developers to develop a single application that can run on multiple smartphones, starting with LG, Philips and Sharp Aquos Net + devices. The initiative will simplify the development and use of applications, which will undoubtedly give a boost to the entire smart TV industry. Currently, application developers spend a lot of time and energy testing their applications on different platforms so that they can be used on multiple devices. By simplifying processes, developed content can be accessed by more consumers and developers can spend more time creating applications such as music services, games, social networking features, and movies available online.

LG, Philips and Sharp are also waiting for other smart TV manufacturers and application developers to join the initiative and use their ideas to simplify the development process. A beta version of the common SDK (Software Development Kit) will be available in early October.
